Choking is more likely to happen in a child that is three or under, but it can happen at any age. Children are always putting things in their mouth. When they’re crawling and walking around they can find the tiniest little things, in the smallest little spaces. Make sure that all of their toys are age appropriate, they are eating age-appropriate foods, and that they are always seated during mealtime.
