Take Brief Pauses to Relax Your Mind

Whenever we are having negative emotions, I’d recommend first closing our eyes. I do this first to shut out the world, just for a moment. Then, take a deep breath and focus on your breathing. Just by taking this brief pause, immediately the brain goes into a relaxation phase.

Practice Gratitude Every Day

The second thing I always do myself, and recommend to everyone, is to start a “gratitude journal.” For me, walking, talking, eating are not simple things to take for granted. It’s important to count our blessing that we receive every day. So, every day at least write 3 things that you are very blessed with in your gratitude journal. For example, having this opportunity to talk with you all through this video goes into my gratitude journal!

Nature can Increase a Positive Mood

Number three is nature; sometimes we underestimate nature. I highly suggest to go out into nature; spend more time in the local parks. Or, whatever your hobby is, walking, biking, etc…try to do it outside in nature. This has tremendous effects on our moods, our health, and our happiness.
