What is the Average Age of Menopause?

The average age of menopause in the United States is 51 and a half years. I always tell people if you want to know when you’ll go through your menopausal time frame look at your mother or an older sister. It does tend to be a little bit hereditary.

Does Menopause Happen in My 40's?

The 40's are a time for perimenopause. That perimenopause time frame before your period is actually stopped can last from anywhere from 2 to 7 years. Some people feel absolutely fine in their early 40's some people don’t not feel fine at all and need help a little sooner.
